God Rewards Desperate Faith, part 2 - The Gentile Woman.

March 9th, 2018

"Sorry, I wasn't sent to help dogs." You know, we don't really expect words like that to come out of Jesus' mouth...but they did. Here's the quote. "It isn’t right to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs." (Matthew 15:26) Now if you stop there in the text, it sounds horrible. Okay, even if you read the whole text including Jesus agreeing to help the woman, it sounds terrible. BUT if you learn the context and take the language and God's plan into account, this is a profound story of mercy and compassion, one that should encourage us to reach out with a desperate faith that God rewards!
